Sarwan on Cricketforindia.com

www.cricketforindia.com, India's first cricket coaching website, now features an article on Ramnaresh Sarwan, one of the most exciting batsmen in the world. Renin Wilben, the writer, dwells on Sarwan's cricketing origins and alludes to the fact that he shares an attribute with Pakistani star Younis Khan. His favourite opponent happens to be India!

Sarwan is of course talented enough to torment virtually every bowling attack, and not just India's. However, his performances against other teams haven't been upto the mark. But he has time on his side. One also imagines him being entrusted with the reins of the West Indies once Brian Lara hangs up his boots.

Also new on the site is a profile of one of the most memorable Test matches in Indian cricket history in recent times. No, it's not a look-back at a famous victory, rather two unforgettable debuts.

www.cricketforindia.com - A site with a difference.................

Launched in Mumbai on 25th June 2004, on the 21st anniversary of India’s World Cup win, www.cricketforindia.com was India’s first site dedicated to cricket coaching.

Cricket is the most popular sport in India, but there is a lot that still needs to be done, in terms of educating the youngsters in the basic and other facets of the sport.

It is alright to watch a Tendulkar or a Dravid in action and dream of emulating them, but how does one attain the level of expertise reached by great players like these? www.cricketforindia.com attempts to answer this question, and provide internet-savvy youngsters with a medium wherein they can get their doubts clarified by stalwarts who have excelled at the highest level of the sport.

The site is home to coaching-based articles, powerpoint presentations and slide-shows. It also has a Q-A section, wherein eminent coaches have answered cricket-related queries posed by users of the site. The site also contains invaluable information pertaining to the history of the sport, player and ground profiles. It has a comprehensive statistical section, as also quizzes and a trivia feature that will challenge the most fanatical of cricket supporters.

The site is poised to notch up another significant ‘first’ with the introduction of the ‘CRICKETFORINDIA KEY TO CRICKET’, a comprehensive series of conversations between a cricket coach and his pupils, which will educate youngsters in the various aspects of the game. Youngsters will be trained and later quizzed on what they have learnt. They will receive a special Cricketforindia certificate, as well as an opportunity to have a practical session under the guidance of a prominent coach in Mumbai.
